RESTORE THE PORT. AVOID RADIO REPLACEMENT.

Key Benefits

  • Reforms minor-to-moderate outer-contact deformation in place.
  • Designed to restore roundness, contact uniformity and connector fit.
  • Non-cutting process does not intentionally remove connector material.
  • Reduces avoidable scrap, disassembly and replacement-radio cost.
  • Suitable for repair labs, distribution centers and controlled field maintenance.
Common Applications RRUs • antennas • filters • combiners • TMAs • DAS equipment

Product Overview

Port Reformer is a precision mandrel designed to restore damaged or out-of-round 4.3-10 female connector interfaces without replacing or disassembling the radio. Its progressive profile acts on the female outer-contact geometry while maintaining clearance from the center conductor when used correctly.

Observed Use and Performance

Used across hundreds of ports in a high-volume telecom repair environment. Documented lab use has shown restored connector fit and repeatability, with VSWR and PIM improvement observed on successfully reformed ports. Results depend on damage type, severity, plating condition and the integrity of the center conductor.

Use Limitations

Not intended to repair cracked or split connector bodies, severe structural displacement, damaged center conductors, significant plating loss or other conditions that compromise connector integrity.

Final Acceptance

Use only on de-energized equipment and follow published instructions. The user remains responsible for visual inspection, connector fit verification and any required RF acceptance testing.
